Touchscreen :
Over time all electronic devices are developing, touch screen technology is also a very fast developing electronic device. Touch Screen is an electronic visual display that accomplishes task with just touch. Because of the touch screen, no other input devices like keyboard mouse etc. are needed. touch screen device is used in various electronic item such as Mobile, laptops, tablets, T.V., Smart watches, ATM machines, railway tickets, etc.
The idea of touch screen technology was first introduced to the world in 1960 by E.A. Johnson, then a lot of experimentation was done but the touchscreen technology was first launched in 1970 by Frank Beck and Bent Stumpe. There are many types of touch screen, but in today's time, the type of touch screen that is more used is the Resistive Touch screen and Capacitive Touch screen.

Resistive Touchscreen :
The resistive touch screen always has to press the screen inwards. This touch screen has two layers, the resistive layer and the conducting layer and there are some small dots between these two layers which keep them separate. The resistive layer is made of polythene so it is flexible and in conducting layer, current flow continuously . When we touch somewhere, the resistive layer meets the conductive layer And the change in electric current at that place shows where the touch has been made and Then this data send to the processor, to get output. Resistive touch screen is used in old mobile phone. This touch screen is not much faster and sensitive.
Capacitive Touchscreen :
We do not have to press the screen inward like resistive touch screen in capacitive touch screen. To operate a capacitive touch screen, we use something that stores an electric charge, the best example of which is human skin.
The Capacitive touch screen senses the electric charge generated inside any person. Whenever we touch the capacitive touch screen, a small amount of charge comes out of our hands, a controller is placed around the touch screen, which senses this electric charge and knows where it has been touched, Then this data send to the processor, to get output. We cannot run capacitive touch screens by wearing something that cannot store electricity, such as rubber gloves etc.
Capacitive touch screen are used modern mobile phone, ATM machine, Smartwatches etc. This touch screen is faster and sensitive than resistive touch screen.
